Canon Legria HF M41 Specification

Panasonic has ruled the industry high-end camcorder for a while, and his latest HDC-SD90 and HDC-TM900 models recently strengthened this position. Canon aims to overthrow the Panasonic from its position  with a list LEGRIA HF M41.

This is one of a series of three M series camcorders with similar specifications. The HF M41, we tested is the most expensive at £ 648, with 32 GB of onboard storage, there is also the HF M46 with 16 GB of some 526 kilos, and HF M406, which has no internal memory and costs around £ 487.

Cheaper models have the same optics and the sensor, but miss the viewfinder and the 3.5 mm microphone input on HF M41. Of these, the HF M406 to our choice, because HF M41 look is too small to be practical, and at this price it goes head-to-head with the slightly cheaper Panasonic HDC-SD90.

Basic specification M Series' is an impressive reading. It has a 1/3in CMOS sensor, two SD card slots and hybrid optical image stabilization / electronics and a stereo microphone and a hot shoe.

And 'less than the Panasonic some key areas, however, is shorter than the 10x zoom lens and a platform much more bulky, measuring 136 x 69 x 69 mm (WDH), as compared to the shot only 1080/50i HDC-SD90 is 50 progressive frames per second, the second.

The performances are good. Canon has a bigger sensor, so the low light is slightly better than the SD90, which minimize noise in our tests, we found the colors a bit 'more accurate and balanced in different circumstances. Critics, however, the company had not been treated so well, thanks mainly to the slower frame rates.

This puts Canon Series M in a somewhat awkward position. For image quality is slightly better than its main rival gross, but with a lower stabilization shorter zoom and a larger chassis, is much less flexible. This is a good camera, but in general, we recommend opting for the Panasonic HDC-SD90 and save a few pounds in the process.

Comparison Canon Eos 600D (Rebel T3i) vs Nikon D5100 [Review]

The   Excellence of Nikon D5100

Good, let's review. In terms of quality of the photo sensor, Nikon D5100 has the same sensor with the D7000 (that can produce images equivalent to a camera D7000). The sensor is newer and better than the sensor in the Canon Eos 600D. So when using the same lens, the result is better Nikon D5100.

    Image quality at high ISO (usually used in a dark place) is also better, especially at ISO 1600 and 3200. Moreover, both cameras have difficulties to overcome noise / spots on the photograph.

If the problem of control and handling, I prefer the Canon Eos 600D, because a lot of buttons functions like the camera WB, ISO, already exists and does not need to go into the menu to change settings such as Nikon D5100. I think the Canon Eos 600D is also quite friendly to the beginner by generating a brief description of each function of the camera (though in English).

    Unlike Nikon D5100 and other beginners Nikon cameras, Canon Eos 600D also has an auto focus motor in the camera body, so any Canon EOS auto focus that can be installed. While the lens can auto focus on the Nikon D5100 only existing code AF-S, the new Nikon lenses that have focus motors. Such lenses are usually more expensive (but better quality than the old lenses).

    Another advantage of the Canon Eos 600D is the wireless flash feature, which allows us to organize and trigger the flash is released from the camera (off camera flash shoe) without requiring any accessories other triggers. While Nikon D5100 has been no such feature, which is in the Nikon D90 models or more sophisticated.

For me the locate not very practical because in the video there will be a "gap" or gaps between focused and unfocused.     Rewarded with a cheaper price than the Canon Eos 600D, Nikon D5100 is a significant competitor to the Canon Eos 600D among beginner and intermediate level photographers. Both cameras have the advantages disadvantages of each. Canon Eos 600D excels in video, and practical interface to use, while the Nikon D5100 excels in image quality, creative effects and price. Which one is best depends on the priorities of each.
